On 29th August, National Sports Day was celebrated in Shree Shivashantaveer Public School to commemorate the birth anniversary of Hockey Legend, Major Dhyan Chand. The students were told about the importance of sports and the relevance of National Sports Day during the assembly. On this special occasion the students participated in sports activities with great ardour.

A Visit to Old Age Home

As a paragon of developing a humanistic society, the students from Grades 8 to 10 had a noble opportunity to visit the old Age home on 20-8-22 Saturday. On the occasion of Senior citizens day .The students interacted with old people, extended their help and offered whatever possible for the inmates of Old Age Home, that made them blossom with joy and Ecstasy.


The visit was a life turning experience as it was filled with emotions and sentiments. Students were not only transmitted with memories but also with some valuable lessons about basic Principles of life and humanity .

Krishna Janmashtami

Krishna Janmashtami is one of the India’s most popular festival celebrated with great zest and zeal to commemorate the birth of Lord Krishna, an avatar of Lord Vishnu. It symbolises the end of darkness and rooting out of the evil forces. It was celebrated with great zeal and pomp by the students of Shree Shivashantaveer Public School. Children of Pre-KG, LKG and UKG dressed up in ethnic wear as Radha and Krishna. Students of grades 5,6 and 7 shared the stories about Krishna. Students of Grades 8 and 9 painted and decorated pots. This celebration signifies excitement, euphoric and joyous spirit of enthrallment.

Indian Independence Day

India celebrates its 76th Independence Day as ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotshav’ that commemorates the brave young men who gave up their lives to liberate India from the manacles of thralldom. 

SSPS proudly celebrated the 76th Independence Day flavored with patriotic fervor, zeal and zest made it a very unforgettable occasion. The whole ambience vibrated with the festivity, decorating the school premises in the flamboyant hues of tricolor – saffron, white and green. The event commenced by flag hoisting by the eminent chief guest With the presence of Principal ,staff and students .This entailed a short celebration including patriotic song ,students speech , and dance . The students of KG wing paid their respects by a fancy dress dressed as various freedom fighters. The event wrapped up with the pledge to maintain the peace and harmony of our country and rendered our humble salutes to the martyrs.

Raksha Bandhan

"The bond between a brother and a sister sometimes tightly woven, sometimes loosely held but never broken"

“The bond between a brother and a sister sometimes tightly woven, sometimes loosely held but never broken” Raksha Bandhan is one of the most endearing ways to celebrate the bond between brothers and sisters. There can be no better companion than a brother and no better friend than a sister. The invisible ties between sisters and brothers are the strongest bond .To strengthen this bond, our school organized Raksha Bandhan celebration students for all the classes. The event was celebrated with full enthusiasm and zeal. Shree Shivashantaveer Public School believes that such celebrations of festivals with true spirit teach students about our Indian traditions.

Investiture Ceremony at Shree Shivashantaveer Public School , Koppal

The most auspicious ceremonial occasion of Shree Shivashantaveer Public School, Investiture ceremony was celebrated on 6-8-2022 for the academy year 2022-23 with full fervor and dignity . 

The special guest Dr R. Maregoud (the secretary of SGVVT) graced this occasion . The school head boy,head girl along with the council members were conferred with badges and sashes followed by the oath led by the Principal wherein the elected council members pledged to dispense their duties to the best of their abilities and abide by the rules and regulations of the school.

National Doctor's Day

National Doctor’s Day is observed on 1st July to acknowledge the contributions of doctor’s humane service to mankind.
SSPS too celebrated this day and thus the students of Grade 9 and 10 along with teachers visited District hospital and honored the doctors to show our gratitude who have selflessly aided us in our time of need and tirelessly worked for the health of their patients. This visit was even more fruitful as the students along with teachers also visited the patients and contributed whatever possible from their side like fruits etc as an expression of their care and concern to the patients to manifest humanity .

International Day of Yoga

SSPS celebrated the International Yoga Day on 21 June 2022 , with much fervour and enthusiasm. This celebration depicted the innumerable benefits of yoga by performing a mass yoga from Grade 4 to 10 students ,with various asanas in school under the guidance of Teachers . This motivated the students and enhanced their interest to perform yoga regularly.

Environment Day

On 5 June ,our school organized an awareness program on the occasion of World environment day .
All the Faculty and students participated and cleaned the school surroundings and planted saplings around the campus .

National Science Day

On the occasion of National Science Day we at SSPS celebrated this day on 28-02-2022, with great ardor as it commemorates the discovery of Sir C.V Raman .students exhibited their scientific skills by their innovative science projects, followed by speeches from students and teachers sharing the significance of this day. It was indeed a very knowledgeable day which motive was to spread the importance of science in our daily life.

International Women's Day

On 8th March our school celebrated International Women’s day, to commemorate the cultural, political and socioeconomic achievements of women.
The Principal has presented a small speech regarding the importance of women and the reason behind its celebration.
