“Courage is what it takes to stand up and speak .Courage is also what it takes to sit and listen .” SSPS strongly believes the same and has the vision to enkindle courage in each student .Hence a debate competition was held for students of Grade 8 and 9 on the given topic “Can Computers replace Teachers ? ” and “Plastic bags should be banned “

Both the teams A- For and B -against performed very well, expressing clear and concise arguments by presenting their views in a highly assertive manner and gained appreciation with their brain storming arguments.

Pen Down your Imagination

“Limitations live only in our minds. But with one’s imagination and creativity, possibilities become limitless”. Keeping this in mind the school organized Pen down your Imagination on the given topic i.e. “My dream vacation” for the students of Grade 6 and 7 . It was indeed a joyful experience for the students. This activity was witnessed by enthusiastic participation, wherein the students splashed their imagination, and explored their creative skills in their artistic styles.

My favourite Rhyme

Rhymes provide bite- sized learning opportunities for young children to develop key development skills and can often be the trigger for hours of creative and open ended play.They have a lot more to offer than just entertainment value. They introduce children to the idea of storytelling and it improves language.
Students of Pre-KG to UKG with lot of excitement sung their favourite rhymes. Our tiny tots enjoyed this activity.

Leaf Activity

Activity based learning facilitates better understanding. It ensures that students are always engaged in learning and it brings about efficient learning experiences.

Students of Grade 3 has performed an activity by collecting many different types of leaves which vary in color, shape and size. This activity helped the children to learn about different types of leaves and its parts. Children actively participated in this activity.

Rock and Roll

A Co-curricular activity help children to develop their special skills, explore new ideas, increases self-confidence, and builds leadership skills and also a fun way to beat stress. On 18th June, it was a day of rejoice for all of us, as our school conducted dance competition for grades 1 and 2. Our students presented a captivating dance performance. They enthralled the audience by tapping their feet to the rhythm of music

Fancy Dress

A Co-curricular activity help children to develop their special skills, explore new ideas, increases self-confidence, and builds leadership skills and also a fun way to beat stress. To enhance the creativity and imagination, fancy dress competition was conducted in our school on 18th June. Students of grades 3 and 4 actively participated and showcased their versatility through various characters, with beautiful costumes

Ink your thoughts

The new session started with lots of zeal .The students of grades 5 and 6 were geared up and given opportunity to ink their thoughts by an essay competition on the given topic as a part of CCA activity held on 18/6/22. Students attemptive spirit was indeed appreciative kudos to the winners keep going.

Prompitu

Pick and speak competition (Prompitu) was conducted for Grades 7 and 8 on 18/6/22. Students picked a topic that varied from each other and Every participants was given precisely 1 minute to prepare for the topic .It was astounding to see how beautifully students expressed their thoughts, insights, hum our and delivered speech articulately . Congrats to the winners and a huge ovation to the participants.

Music Day Activity

'Music is the Universal language of mankind '

It helps to relieve stress & improves memory. It also helps students to expand their mind and increases self – confidence. It serves a greater purpose in our lives than simply providing amusement.

On 8th July, Music Day Activity was conducted for the students of Shree Shivashantaveer Public School for grades 5 and 6. Music is one of the life’s greatest pleasure. The participants presented each and every performance with glory. Their enthusiasm was heart winning.

Paper Bag Making Activity

To Spread awareness about plastic pollution and encourage the use of environment friendly alternatives and also to boost creative skills among the students of Shree Shivashantaveer Public School, a Paper Bag making activity was conducted on 18th July for the grades 3 and 4 . The fun filled activity inspired young children to contribute to the mother nature by using paper bags and saying NO to plastic bags.

Science Activity

To create awareness of rapid growth of germs within the students , an experiment of fermentation of yeast was demonstrated by the 9 grade students under the guidance of Science teachers . The students also demonstrated on how to wash hands and maintain hygiene . For “Health is wealth.”

Mango Day Activity

On 30th June 2022, Our school organized Mango Day Activity for the tiny tots.The sole purpose of the entire event was to see our little artists budding and blooming with happiness and excitement to learn. Teachers dressed up in the shades of Yellow. Various facts about the fruit were discussed with the children. Our little artists enjoyed the activity by drawing Mango and colouring it.

School Parliament Election

School Election of the Student council for the Academic year 2022-23 was held in our school on Saturday 25/6/22. All the students from Grade 4 to 10 participated and casted their votes for their preferred candidate. Ballot papers were printed confidentially as per the Democratic procedure.
11 students contested in the elections in designated areas in school regime and were zealous about the results which will be declared soon. Overall students active participation along with awareness of election system was observed.

Workshop on Classroom Management

To promote a better and unique education to the students , A workshop was organized for the SSPS teaching faculty by DR Manjeet Jain the founder and CEO of education India on 30/4/22. This workshop emphasized on learning and developing new teaching strategies to make teaching more interactive and innovative and make learning more effective .

Games for Teachers

To rejuvenate the mind and body apart from hectic schedule ,various indoor and outdoor Sports for teachers was held . All the teachers showed their tremendous energetic performance and proved that they not only excel in academics but also excel in sports as well. Congrats to the winners and applause to the participants.

Fruit Salad Making Activity

Students of Grade 9 brought varieties fruits to school and had a good time while preparing the fruit salad and definitely no one had tasted better fruit salad earlier than this special day! This activity helped the children to learn about different fruits and importance of it as it was a part in their English lesson activity. Children relished their participation and understood the importance of eating fruits & vegetables.

Annual Sports Meet

The much awaited Annual Sports Day was scheduled on 04/02/22 with great zeal, excitement and frolicsome atmosphere. Various sports was organized in the school prior according to classes. Students participated according to their Interest. The programs started with Olympic torch relay, finals of group events followed with prize distribution. Number of students participated in various sports events and performed very well. Although a Tiring day, students left with face light up with glee.

73rd Republic Day

Our school celebrated India’s 73rd Republic Day with great eclat. The students took pride in glorifying and celebrating the spirit of unity. The programme began at 7.30am. The principal hoisted the flag and presented a small patriotic speech to the students, followed by a series of speeches by the students and patriotic dance performance by the students. Tiny tots of the KG wing displayed their love and spirit for their country with fancy dress performance dressed as freedom fighters. And Thus the beautiful ceremony was celebrated with the utmost completeness in the heart of Everybody.
